Samco started in 1972 when Joe Repovs rented 200 sq. feet of office space.
Samco Rollformer Design and Manufacturing Facility
Today Samco sits on its own property after 2 expansions and 2 renovations to modernize its 80, 000 sq. foot design and manufacturing facility. It is well worth a visit for new customers to Samco. You will see how our plant has been built to simulate the plant of any of our customers.
Here is a summary of what our facility consists of. The descriptions given are written as to why it would benefit our customers.
2 assembly areas – sizes are
Depending on the shipping company you use, we have dock level pick up, or if you prefer to have your flatbed truck drive in we can do that to. To put your machinery on the truck we have overhead cranes in both assembly areas and forklifts.
Some of our customers need floor pits so we have added our own floor pits to completely be able to simulate the actual production. There is enough space to add the customers material handling equipment as well. This is convenient for our customer’s operator training.
CNC Shop
Our CNC shop runs 2 shifts. We introduced a second shift to keep up with the fast growing demands of our customers. Our CNC’s are equipped with the latest tooling and programming software.
LCD screen
Our customers love this! When they walk into our shop they can view the status of all our work. It’s really there for our employees to know what delivery dates are approaching so they know what to focus on. We measure all our deliveries and set goals for being on time for both entire rollforming lines and spare parts. This is just one way we communicate to our employees.
Tool Room
The Tool Room is a self sufficient department dedicated to the Die Making aspects of the SAMCO Machinery. We have all the ingredients, Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machine), Milling Machines, Cylindrical Grinders and our newly acquired CNC Machining Center. The Tool Room not only does Dies, we also help the Machine Shop with their overload, usually “one offs” that are not CNC compatible. Our Tool Room assembly also helps with the “Trouble Shooting” of our Roll Forming Lines during testing and helps Engineering when problems occur. Our Climate Controlled EDM Room is also an Inspection Department, we have a dedicated inspector that checks all components that are made from our Machine Shop, Tool Room and Vendors. Our inspector also checks the customer product that is formed from our lines, making sure that it meets with Customer Standards and Quality.
