Samco Roll Former Design and Manufacturing Facility
Welcome to our state of the art roll former manufacturing plant
Samco’s manufacturing facilities have been built to simulate the plant of any of our customers. This, along with multiple expansions and modernizations over the years, allows us to produce the highest quality of roll forming equipment. The main hub for our design and manufacturing, this Canadian facility encompasses 160,000 square feet.
This facility offers the following benefits to our customers:
Rollformer assembly areas
Depending on the shipping company you use, we have dock level pick up, or if you prefer to have your flatbed truck drive in we can support that as well. We have overhead cranes in all assembly areas and forklifts to load your machinery onto your vehicle.
Some of our customers need floor pits, so we have added our own floor pits to completely be able to simulate the actual production. There is enough space to add the customer’s material handling equipment as well. This is convenient for our customer’s operator training.
Our CNC shop runs two shifts. We introduced a second shift to keep up with the fast growing requirements of our customers. Our CNCs are equipped with the latest tooling and programming software.
Our customers love this! When they walk into our shop, they can view the status of all our work. Its core purpose is to inform our employees about approaching delivery dates so they know what their priorities are. We measure all of our deliveries and set goals for being on time for both entire roll forming lines and for spare parts. This is just one way we communicate with our employees.
The Tool Room is a self-sufficient department dedicated to the Die Making aspects of the Samco. We have all the ingredients, Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machine), Milling Machines, Cylindrical Grinders and our newly acquired CNC Machining Center.
The Tool Room not only does Dies, we also help the Machine Shop with their overflow, usually “one offs” that are not CNC compatible. Our Tool Room assembly also helps with the “Trouble Shooting” of our roll forming lines during testing and helps our design department when problems occur.
Our Climate Controlled EDM Room is also an Inspection Department; we have a dedicated inspector who checks all components that are made in our Machine Shop, Tool Room and Vendors. Our inspector also checks the customer product that is formed from our lines, making sure that it meets with Customer Standards and Quality.
Our Canadian manufacturing facility is located only 45 minutes from the Toronto international airport, making it easy for any of our employees to get to our customers’ facilities anywhere in the world for support, service, and training.
Roll forming high-strength steel was once an incredibly challenging endeavor. Technology and industry innovations have eased the burden, allowing the manufacturer to use thinner gauge steel while maintaining a stronger and lighter part.Read More
The roll forming industry is a moving target… changing, evolving, advancing all the time. In today’s market, customers need agility; custom production at increased speeds within efficient footprints. This leads to a greater return on investment and lower production costs. And while this thinking is intuitively practical, it is far less easy. Samco Machinery has learned that if you want to make equipment perform to the increasing needs of customers, then the systems and people used to develop the equipment must also be as agile.Read More
