Samco has developed a turn key roll forming line that will out perform most metal stamping and brake pressing operations.

For the automotive industry Samco has developed turn key roll forming line that will out perform most metal stamping and brake pressing operations and in some cases Samco lines run four times faster with only one operator.

With the Automotive Industries need for high production volumes, quick dye changeovers and in-line manufacturing, many of Samco's automotive roll forming lines have married the art of roll forming with in-line operations of welding, bending, piercing, and embossing and cold reductions.

The Samco design philosophy is to have one line using one operator with a completely finish product coming off the end of the roll forming system.

Double-ended uncoilers make coil changeovers quick and safe. While one mandrel is feeding the line the other mandrel is being loaded and prepped for the changeover.

Hence your welders create a coil without an end, joining the end of the last coil with the beginning of the next coil creating a continuous coil, no re-threading the presses or roll forming, just shear, weld and run. It's that simple.

The flattener removes the coil set, preparing the coil for the pre-piercing operation.

Samco range of pre-pierce presses are based on a robust deign for long lasting performance. This 150 ton hydraulic press has quick dye changeover tables to allow for easy dye removal without the use of forklift or overhead crane. The first dye simply slides out one side and the second dye slides in from the other. Samco rafted roll forming mills earn there reputation for fast changeover and the elimination of roll set-ups.

With many roll or dyes weighing an excessive 200lbs each this rafted roll forming mill does away for the need of operators to lift any rolls. The whole rafted top moves as one unit, already set-up and ready to go.

While there competitors try to weld the products offline with a second operator in a separate work cell, Samco's customers do there welding in-line, all functions controlled and integrated by computer. This in-line welder performs a continuous seam weld on the product at 45ft per min one of the first of its kind in North America. At this speed special fluids are used to cool the molt and steel as the product exits the welding wheels.

The cut off operations are done with the Samco mechanical press to separate the products from the coil strip.

Need to roll form your automotive products use the Samco roll forming line to make products high quality products consistently and efficient.
