On a recent outing to one of the many appliance superstores in the Los Angeles area, we followed a pair of first time homeowners as they outfitted their three-bedroom one bath home with much needed appliances.
First on the couple's list were appliances for the kitchen. The house in question came with a stovetop range, but the couple still needed a dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave to complete their kitchen. Helpful salespeople guided them through the stores. The hours leading up to the
point of sale were grueling since there was such a wide selection available to them, but they decided to invest in some quality stainless steel appliances. The couple decided to opt for stainless steel for the refrigerator and washing machine, and then chose a less expensive washing machine, dryer, and microwave to complete the set.
The couple has a small child and was worried that child might walk out the back door since there was no garage door. We hear stories similar to this couple everyday. Purchasing appliances may at first seem overwhelming, but with patience and a little research the process doesn't have to weigh as heavily on your wallet as you might imagine. This leaves families with more money to spend on filling their homes with pictures and mementos that turn an empty house into a home to be enjoyed for years to come.
